The Raptors Have Life

A team down 3-0 in a NBA Playoff’s has never came back to win the series. Only 3 series have ever gone to game 7. Nuggets v Jazz 1994, Blazers v Mavs 2003, & Knicks v Royals 1951. The Toronto Raptors have won 2 straight against the Philadelphia 76ers. They bring game 6 home to Scotiabank Arena and have the chance to make history in Toronto if they force a game 7, however just winning game 6 would put them in extremely rare air. 76ers fans do have a pretty hefty excuse if this all goes south for them with Joel Embiid suffering a torn ligament in his right hand thumb. With Embiid’s injury a lot of eyes are on James Harden to pick up some slack after only putting up 11 shots in his last outing. His lack of aggression was somewhat problematic but not such a big deal while being up 3-0 and before the Embiid injury. Now if the 76ers want to close out the Raptors they need James Harden to be the Star Philadelphia traded for.

There’s A Poole Party Going on in the Bay Area

Jordan Poole has played an integral role in the Dubs early post season success (the Golden State Warriors are currently holding a 3-0 lead against Jokic and the Denver Nuggets). From the G league to budding superstar Poole’s accession in just his 3rd season has been nothing short of remarkable. Poole has rode his breakout season right into round one of the playoffs averaging 27 points a game, shooting %66 from the field and %59 from three. He is playing with ultimate confidence and the complete support of the decorated veterans of the Dubs. The Warriors Player development staff has done an incredible job with Poole, Dubs fans should be very excited for what they have in store for the newest rookies Kuminga and Moody.
